How do bilingual writers express themselves better?

Did you know that many famous writers were bilingual? These links will take you to very interesting articles. For instance, in his article “From William Shakespeare to Amy Tan: Do bilinguals make better writers?”, Word Jazz wonders: “in more scientific terms, is there any causal link between individual bilingualism and linguistic creativity?” I cannot tell if bilinguals make better writers and you’re going to have to read his article (both parts!) for more information, but I’ll give you a hint; there might be scientific evidence to that proves a relationship between these two.

Verbally abusive relationships: where do they come from?

My next research topic is the verbally abusive relationship. One of my heroines is in a long term relationship with a man who verbally abuses her. Since his behavior is totally unacceptable to me, I cannot get into his mind and introduce his character in a realistic way because he makes me really mad. So, if you have any feedback to offer, it’ll be really helpful. Have you ever come across that guy or do you know someone who has? How would you describe his behaviour? Do you know how he got there?
